Last Saturday I travelled to rural south Nottinghamshire to a stunning little village by the name of Kinaulton. This picturesque English country village was to play host to the beautiful wedding of Richard & Fiona.

First stop of the day was the groom's family home, where I found Richard and his best men in the midst of getting ready and even practicing speeches on the front lawn! All the boys looked well in their blue suits and Richard's mum was the picture of pride as she fastened the buttonhole on to her Son's lapel.

On the other side of the village, Fiona and her girls were relaxing with a glass of Buck's Fizz and generally having a calm and laid back morning. The weather was looking pretty grim though, with heavy rain and dark skies looming large but nobody was panicking and it seemed that wellies and umbrellas were to be the order of the day. After Fiona had presented her Bridesmaids with unique cards and gifts it was time to step into her beautiful custom, hand made wedding dress.

Next stop was the charmingly intimate village church where the ushers were busy guiding guests in to the church and to their seats. Just before the girls arrived, the rain stopped and the sun came out providing some relief to the wedding party. After the ceremony we travelled back to Kinaulton Cricket Club to begin the celebrations. The new Mr & Mrs Quigley arrived to the warm welcome of their friends and family, all ready to wish them well and give them a kiss and hug!

The marquee looked amazing, with a cake stand in the corner, stocked with various cakes, all hand made by guests. The centrepieces looked great and the whole place was covered in bunting and fairy lights. The bar was busy well into the evening and the guys from pizzapod had even enrolled a couple of flower girls to be mini delivery people, hand out pizza slices to hungry guests!

This was a stunning English village wedding that I really enjoyed covering. Richard & Fiona are a great couple with fantastic friends and family that made me feel very welcome all day.
